PASS PLUS

 

Pass Plus is a training course of six modules, in which you will be expected to drive proficiently in town, on dual carriageways, rural roads and motorways, during all weather conditions and at night.

One in five deaths on British roads involves newly-qualified drivers.

Therefore drivers who have recently passed their test will probably benefit from a Pass Plus course.

Not only does it help improve your driving but it can also assist in reducung your insurance premiums.

COURSE CONTENT

As there are six modules requiring at least one hour per module, the course can be organised to suit your own particular needs.

The Six Modules Are:

Module

Brief Description

Module 1

Driving In Town

Beginning with an introduction, explaining the course aims, plus the skills and knowledge to be covered.  Continuing with a practical session, covering the complex features of driving in town, such as difficult junctions.

Module 2

All Weather Driving

Practical session.  Focussing on correct speeds, safe stopping distances, during all weather conditions including: rain, sleet, snow and ice, mist and fog, plus bright sunshine.  Also covering skids: what causes them, how to prevent them, correcting them, braking on loose surfaces and aquaplaning.

Module 3

Driving Out Of Town

Country roads, looking at the main differences between town and country driving.

Module 4

Night Driving

Dealing with dazzle, judging distance and speed, correct use of lights.

Module 5

Driving On Dual Carriageways

Dual carriageways can be high speed, multi lane roads with two carriageways separated by a central reservation.  A high level of concentration and skill is required to safely negotiate these roads.

Module 6

Driving On Motorways

Motorways are unique.  You will need to learn how to drive on them under the expert supervision of a qualified ADI.
